Southport Island Musicfest 2024

The Southport Island Association (SIA) is very excited to announce the launch of the Southport Island Musicfest 2024 season! The premier series was enthusiastically enjoyed by all last summer, and we can’t wait to bring the community back together for another fantastic set of acts this year. These three outdoor concerts take place on Southport Island in June, July and August, shining a spotlight on our stunning island, inviting neighbors and friends to make timeless memories, and raising funds for much needed community programs. The line-up for Summer 2024 features these family-friendly acts:

  • JUNE 26 - MOTOR BOOTY AFFAIR

Motor Booty Affair has been lighting up stages across America with their 70’s extravaganza for several years, continually improving on the show that has been dubbed “The Ultimate Disco Party Band”. The music is infectious - the most danceable songs of all time. The band is tighter than tight, delivering dance floor classics with confidence, groove, style and attitude.

  • JULY 17 - SPENCER ALBEE

Spencer Albee is a Portland based, nationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer. Since 1995, he has toured internationally, signed multiple recording and publishing deals and worked with artists ranging from David Bowie to De La Soul. Rolling Stone Magazine called Spencer a "21st Century master in the lost art of Beatlesque hooks."

  • AUG 14 - THE RUPERT'S ORCHESTRA

The Rupert’s Orchestra is comprised of some of the finest talent from around the nation. At the core of the group is a driving rhythm section accented by a fiery horn section, and an explosive Latin percussionist. Fronting the band are four of the hottest vocalists around, each with a unique sound, performing both lead and background vocals.

How does the Southport Island Association give back?

The Southport Island Association is a 501c3 organization that raises and distributes funds to support a variety of community needs.

Last year, SIA was able to provide over $42,000 in charitable donations to our community. Providing educational scholarships to learners of all ages, offering confidential assistance for a variety of specific individual needs, enhancing the holiday season for families on the island, as well as supporting vital community assets such as Southport Central School, the Food Pantry, New Hope for Women MidCoast, Life Flight, the Ambulance Fund and many more are some ways that SIA gives back. Our fundraising goals continue to be ambitious in order to make profoundly positive impacts within our community for generations to come.

By supporting SIA’s Helping Hands Fund, you’re directly lifting up your local community and making an immediate impact here at home.
